देवराजसेव्यमानपावनांघ्रिपङ्कजं व्यालयज्ञसूत्रमिन्दुशेखरं कृपाकरम् ।
नारदादियोगिवृन्दवन्दितं दिगंबरं काशिकापुराधिनाथकालभैरवं भजे ॥१॥
Deva-rāja-sevya-māna-pāvanāṅghri-paṅkajaṃ vyāla-yajña-sūtram-indu-śekharaṃ kṛpā-karam |
Nāradādi-yogi-vṛnda-vanditaṃ digambaraṃ kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ||1||

भीमविक्रमं प्रभुं विचित्रताण्डवप्रियं काशिकापुराधिनाथकालभैरवं भजे ॥३॥
Śūla-ṭaṅka-pāśa-daṇḍa-pāṇim-ādi-kāraṇaṃ śyāma-kāyam-ādi-devam-akṣaraṃ nirāmayam |
Bhīma-vikramaṃ prabhuṃ vicitra-tāṇḍava-priyaṃ kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ||3||

Bhukti-mukti-dāyakaṃ praśasta-cāru-vigrahaṃ bhakta-vatsalaṃ sthitaṃ samasta-loka-vigraham |
Vini-kvaṇan-manojña-hema-kiṅkiṇī-lasat-kaṭiṃ kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ||4||

धर्मसेतुपालकं त्वधर्ममार्गनाशनं कर्मपाशमोचकं सुशर्मधायकं विभुम् ।
स्वर्णवर्णशेषपाशशोभितांगमण्डलं काशिकापुराधिनाथकालभैरवं भजे ॥५॥
Dharma-setu-pālakaṃ tvadharma-mārga-nāśanaṃ karma-pāśa-mocakaṃ suśarma-dhāyakaṃ vibhum |
Svarṇa-varṇa-śeṣa-pāśa-śobhitāṅga-maṇḍalaṃ kāśikā-purādhinātha-kāla-bhairavaṃ bhaje ||5||

With a mere glance, He destroys the web of sins; He is the fierce sovereign, the giver of the eight siddhis (supernatural powers), and wearer of a garland of skulls.
भूतसंघनायकं विशालकीर्तिदायकं काशिवासलोकपुण्यपापशोधकं विभुम् ।
नीतिमार्गकोविदं पुरातनं जगत्पतिं काशिकापुराधिनाथकालभैरवं भजे ॥८॥

कालभैरवाष्टकं पठंति ये मनोहरं ज्ञानमुक्तिसाधनं विचित्रपुण्यवर्धनम् ।
शोकमोहदैन्यलोभकोपतापनाशनं प्रयान्ति कालभैरवांघ्रिसन्निधिं नरा ध्रुवम् ॥९॥
Kāla-bhairavāṣṭakaṃ paṭhanti ye mano-haraṃ jñāna-mukti-sādhanaṃ vicitra-puṇya-vardhanam |
Śoka-moha-dainya-lobha-kopa-tāpa-nāśanaṃ prayānti kāla-bhairavāṅghri-sannidhiṃ narā dhruvam ||9||
जो लोग इस मनोहर कालभैरव अष्टक का पाठ करते हैं — जो ज्ञान और मुक्ति का साधन है, जो अद्भुत पुण्यों की वृद्धि करने वाला है, जो शोक, मोह, दीनता, लोभ, क्रोध और ताप का नाश करने वाला है — वे मनुष्य निश्चित रूप से भगवान कालभैरव के चरणों के सान्निध्य को प्राप्त करते हैं।
