The ninth chapter, 'Raja Vidya Raja Guhya Yoga', is called the king of all knowledge and secrets — the supreme and easiest path of devotion. Krishna reveals that the whole universe is pervaded by Him and all beings rest in Him, yet He remains unattached. Fools disregard the Lord who has taken human form, but the great souls worship Him with undivided love. Here come the famous words — 'whoever offers Me a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water with devotion, I accept it', and 'whatever you do, eat, give or offer — dedicate it all to Me'. The heart of the chapter is surrender: however fallen one may be, through undivided devotion even he reaches the supreme goal — 'My devotee never perishes'.
गीता का नौवाँ अध्याय 'राजविद्याराजगुह्ययोग' सब विद्याओं और रहस्यों का राजा कहा गया है — सबसे श्रेष्ठ और सुगम भक्ति-मार्ग। श्रीकृष्ण बताते हैं कि सारा जगत उनसे व्याप्त है, सब प्राणी उनमें स्थित हैं, फिर भी वे अनासक्त हैं। मूढ़ लोग मनुष्य-रूप में आये परमेश्वर को साधारण मानते हैं, पर महात्मा अनन्य भाव से उन्हें भजते हैं। यहीं प्रसिद्ध वचन आता है — 'पत्र, पुष्प, फल या जल भी प्रेम से अर्पित करो, मैं स्वीकार करता हूँ', और 'जो कुछ करो, खाओ, दान दो, तप करो — सब मुझे अर्पित कर दो'। अध्याय का सार है समर्पण: चाहे कोई कितना ही पतित क्यों न हो, अनन्य भक्ति से वह भी परम गति पाता है — 'मेरा भक्त कभी नष्ट नहीं होता'।

The Blessed Lord said: To you, free from envy, I shall declare this most secret knowledge along with its realization, knowing which you will be freed from all evil.
श्री भगवान बोले: हे अनसूय (दोषदृष्टि-रहित) अर्जुन! तुझे मैं यह परम गोपनीय विज्ञान-सहित ज्ञान फिर से बताता हूँ, जिसे जानकर तू दुःखमय संसार से मुक्त हो जाएगा।
This is the king of knowledge, the king of secrets, supremely pure and excellent; directly perceivable, righteous, easy to practise and imperishable.
यह विज्ञान-सहित ज्ञान सब विद्याओं का राजा, सब रहस्यों का राजा, अत्यन्त पवित्र और श्रेष्ठ है; प्रत्यक्ष फल देने वाला, धर्मयुक्त, साधने में सहज और अविनाशी है।
People without faith in this dharma, O scorcher of foes, fail to attain Me and return to the path of death and rebirth.
हे परंतप! इस धर्म में श्रद्धा न रखने वाले मनुष्य मुझे न पाकर मृत्युरूप संसार-चक्र में बार-बार लौटते रहते हैं।
By Me, in My unmanifest form, all this universe is pervaded; all beings dwell in Me, but I do not dwell in them.
मुझ निराकार परमात्मा से यह सम्पूर्ण जगत व्याप्त है; सब प्राणी मुझमें स्थित हैं, पर मैं उनमें स्थित नहीं हूँ।
And yet beings do not abide in Me — behold My divine power! Sustaining and creating beings, My Self does not actually dwell in them.
फिर भी वे प्राणी मुझमें स्थित नहीं हैं — मेरी ईश्वरीय योगशक्ति देख! भूतों को धारण-पोषण करने वाला और उन्हें उत्पन्न करने वाला मेरा स्वरूप वास्तव में उनमें स्थित नहीं है।
As the mighty wind, moving everywhere, ever rests in space, so all beings rest in Me — know this.
जैसे सर्वत्र विचरने वाला महान वायु सदा आकाश में ही स्थित रहता है, वैसे ही सब प्राणी मुझमें स्थित हैं — ऐसा जान।
At the end of a cosmic cycle all beings merge into My nature, O son of Kunti, and at its beginning I send them forth again.
हे कौन्तेय! कल्प के अन्त में सब प्राणी मेरी प्रकृति में लीन हो जाते हैं, और कल्प के आरम्भ में मैं उन्हें फिर रच देता हूँ।
Resting on My own nature, I send forth again and again this whole multitude of beings, helpless under the sway of nature.
अपनी प्रकृति को आधार बनाकर, स्वभाव के वश हुए इस सम्पूर्ण प्राणी-समूह को मैं उनके कर्मों के अनुसार बार-बार रचता हूँ।
But these actions do not bind Me, O Dhananjaya, for I remain like one indifferent, unattached to them.
हे धनंजय! उन कर्मों में आसक्ति-रहित और उदासीन की तरह स्थित मुझ परमात्मा को वे कर्म नहीं बाँधते।
Under My supervision, nature gives birth to all that moves and does not move; for this reason, O son of Kunti, the world revolves.
हे कौन्तेय! मुझ अधिष्ठाता की अध्यक्षता में प्रकृति इस चराचर जगत को रचती है; इसी कारण यह संसार-चक्र घूमता रहता है।
Fools disregard Me when I take a human form, not knowing My higher nature as the great Lord of all beings.
मेरे परम भाव को न जानने वाले मूढ़ लोग, मनुष्य-शरीर धारण किये हुए मुझ सब प्राणियों के महान ईश्वर को साधारण मनुष्य मान बैठते हैं।
Of vain hopes, vain deeds and vain knowledge, the senseless ones cling to a fiendish, demonic and deluding nature.
ऐसे विक्षिप्तचित्त लोग व्यर्थ आशा, व्यर्थ कर्म और व्यर्थ ज्ञान वाले होते हैं, और राक्षसी, आसुरी तथा मोहिनी प्रकृति को ही अपनाये रहते हैं।
But the great souls, O Partha, who take refuge in the divine nature, worship Me with undivided mind, knowing Me as the imperishable origin of all beings.
किन्तु हे पार्थ! दैवी प्रकृति के आश्रित महात्माजन मुझे सब भूतों का सनातन कारण और अविनाशी जानकर, अनन्य मन से निरन्तर भजते हैं।
Ever glorifying Me, striving with firm vows, bowing to Me with devotion, ever steadfast, they worship Me with love.
वे दृढ़-व्रती भक्त निरन्तर मेरा कीर्तन करते, यत्न करते और मुझे प्रणाम करते हुए, सदा मुझमें युक्त रहकर प्रेमपूर्वक मेरी उपासना करते हैं।
Others worship Me through the sacrifice of knowledge — some as the One, others as the many, and others as the all-faced cosmic form.
कुछ ज्ञानयोगी मुझ निर्गुण ब्रह्म की अभेद-भाव से ज्ञानयज्ञ द्वारा उपासना करते हैं, और कुछ अनेक रूपों में स्थित मुझ विराट को पृथक भाव से भजते हैं।
I am the ritual, I am the sacrifice, I am the offering to ancestors, I am the herb, I am the sacred chant; I am the clarified butter, the fire, and the act of offering.
क्रतु मैं हूँ, यज्ञ मैं हूँ, स्वधा मैं हूँ, औषधि मैं हूँ, मंत्र मैं हूँ, घी मैं हूँ, अग्नि मैं हूँ और हवन-क्रिया भी मैं ही हूँ।
I am the father of this universe, the mother, the sustainer and the grandsire, the object of knowledge, the purifier, the syllable Om, and the Rig, Sama and Yajur Vedas.
इस जगत का धाता (धारण-पोषण और फलदाता), पिता, माता, पितामह, जानने योग्य, पवित्र ॐकार तथा ऋग्, साम और यजुर्वेद भी मैं ही हूँ।
I am the goal, the sustainer, the Lord, the witness, the abode, the refuge and the selfless friend; the origin and dissolution, the foundation, the treasure-house and the imperishable seed.
प्राप्य परम गति, भरण-पोषण करने वाला, स्वामी, साक्षी, निवास, शरण, निःस्वार्थ हितैषी, उत्पत्ति-प्रलय का हेतु, आधार, निधि और अविनाशी बीज भी मैं ही हूँ।
I give heat, I withhold and send forth the rain, O Arjuna; I am immortality and also death, the existent and the non-existent.
हे अर्जुन! मैं ही सूर्यरूप में तपता हूँ, वर्षा को रोकता और बरसाता हूँ; मैं ही अमृत और मृत्यु हूँ, तथा सत् और असत् भी मैं ही हूँ।
The knowers of the three Vedas, drinkers of soma, purified of sin, worship Me with sacrifices and seek heaven; reaching the holy world of Indra, they enjoy the divine pleasures of the gods.
तीनों वेदों के विधान को जानने वाले, सोमरस पीने वाले, पापरहित पुरुष यज्ञों से मुझे पूजकर स्वर्ग चाहते हैं; वे पुण्यफल स्वरूप इन्द्रलोक पाकर वहाँ दिव्य देव-भोग भोगते हैं।
Having enjoyed that vast heaven, their merit exhausted, they return to the mortal world; thus those who follow the ritual of the three Vedas, craving pleasures, gain only the cycle of coming and going.
वे उस विशाल स्वर्गलोक को भोगकर, पुण्य क्षीण होने पर फिर मृत्युलोक में लौट आते हैं; इस प्रकार वेदोक्त सकाम धर्म का आश्रय लेने वाले भोग-कामी लोग बार-बार आना-जाना ही पाते हैं।
For those who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, ever steadfast — I secure what they lack and preserve what they have.
जो अनन्य भक्त मुझे ही निरन्तर चिन्तन करते हुए निष्काम भाव से भजते हैं, उन नित्य-युक्त भक्तों का योग-क्षेम (अप्राप्त को देना, प्राप्त की रक्षा) मैं स्वयं वहन करता हूँ।
Even those who, full of faith, worship other gods, O son of Kunti, worship Me alone — but not in the proper way.
हे कौन्तेय! श्रद्धायुक्त होकर जो भक्त अन्य देवताओं को पूजते हैं, वे भी वास्तव में मुझे ही पूजते हैं, पर उनकी पूजा अविधिपूर्वक (अज्ञानपूर्ण) होती है।
For I am the enjoyer and the Lord of all sacrifices; but they do not know Me in truth, and so they fall.
क्योंकि सब यज्ञों का भोक्ता और स्वामी मैं ही हूँ; पर वे मुझे तत्त्व से नहीं जानते, इसी से (पुनर्जन्म में) गिरते हैं।
Worshippers of the gods go to the gods, worshippers of ancestors to the ancestors, worshippers of spirits to the spirits; but My worshippers come to Me.
देवताओं को पूजने वाले देवताओं को पाते हैं, पितरों को पूजने वाले पितरों को, भूतों को पूजने वाले भूतों को; और मुझे पूजने वाले मुझे ही प्राप्त होते हैं।
Whoever offers Me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water — that offering of love, from a pure heart, I accept.
जो भक्त प्रेम से मुझे पत्र, पुष्प, फल या जल अर्पित करता है, उस शुद्ध-हृदय भक्त का प्रेमपूर्वक अर्पित वह भेंट मैं सगुण रूप में प्रकट होकर ग्रहण करता हूँ।
Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give, whatever austerity you practise — do it, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me.
हे कौन्तेय! तू जो करता है, जो खाता है, जो हवन करता है, जो दान देता है और जो तप करता है — वह सब मुझे अर्पित कर।
Thus you will be freed from the bonds of action, from its good and evil fruits; with your mind fixed in the yoga of renunciation, liberated, you will come to Me.
इस प्रकार सब कर्म मुझे अर्पित करने वाला तू शुभ-अशुभ फलरूप कर्मबन्धन से मुक्त हो जाएगा; संन्यास-योग से युक्त होकर मुक्त हुआ तू मुझे ही प्राप्त होगा।
I am the same to all beings; none is hateful or dear to Me; but those who worship Me with devotion are in Me, and I too am in them.
मैं सब प्राणियों में समभाव से हूँ; न कोई मेरा अप्रिय है न प्रिय; पर जो प्रेम से मुझे भजते हैं, वे मुझमें हैं और मैं भी उनमें प्रकट हूँ।
Even if the worst sinner worships Me with undivided devotion, he is to be regarded as righteous, for he has rightly resolved.
यदि कोई अत्यन्त दुराचारी भी अनन्य भाव से मुझे भजने लगे, तो उसे साधु ही मानना चाहिए, क्योंकि उसने सही निश्चय कर लिया है।
He soon becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. Know for certain, O son of Kunti — My devotee never perishes.
वह शीघ्र ही धर्मात्मा बन जाता है और स्थायी शान्ति पाता है। हे कौन्तेय! निश्चय जान — मेरा भक्त कभी नष्ट नहीं होता।
For those who take refuge in Me, O Partha — even those of humble birth, women, vaishyas and shudras — all reach the supreme goal.
हे पार्थ! स्त्री, वैश्य, शूद्र तथा पापयोनि में जन्मे — जो कोई भी मेरी शरण लेते हैं, वे सब परम गति को प्राप्त होते हैं।
How much more, then, the holy Brahmins and devoted royal sages! Having come to this fleeting, joyless world, devote yourself to Me.
फिर पुण्यशील ब्राह्मणों और भक्त राजर्षियों का तो कहना ही क्या! इसलिए इस क्षणभंगुर, सुखरहित मनुष्य-शरीर को पाकर तू निरन्तर मेरा भजन कर।
Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to Me, worship Me, bow to Me; thus uniting yourself with Me, taking Me as your goal, you will come to Me.
मुझमें मन लगा, मेरा भक्त बन, मेरा पूजन कर, मुझे प्रणाम कर; इस प्रकार स्वयं को मुझमें जोड़कर, मेरे परायण होकर तू मुझे ही प्राप्त होगा।
